A new poll shows that Democrats have a lot to worry about come this November, as many will be fighting to maintain a foothold in Congress.
According to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll
NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll Info, many Americans are not happy with Congress, President Obama or Democrats for that matter. Out of 1,000 people interviewed, 62 percent feel the country is on the wrong track. Only 29 percent feel the country is going on the right direction, which is still more than the percentage of people who liked Crystal Pepsi.
But it gets better. Seventy three percent think that Congress is doing a bad job, which should have Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid sweating bullets, especially with the wave of anti-incumbency that has struck the country. And he’s been in office since 1987, when “Lethal Weapon” first came out.
Only 22 percent think Congress is doing a good job, and speaking of jobs, 48 percent think President Obama is doing crummy job as Commander-In-Chief, while 45 percent thinks he’s doing just fine.
And getting back to Congress, the poll asked the people surveyed what they would like to see, Republicans or Democrats controlling Congress. Get this, 45 percent want the GOP back in the driver’s seat, while 43 percent want to see Dem’s remain behind the wheel, aimlessly driving the country in circles. Well, the poll didn’t exactly say “driving in circles” but that’s basically what’s happening now.
Now for those who want the Tea Party to become a third official political party in the U.S., this might bring a smile to your face. When the pollsters asked those surveyed how they view the Democratic Party, only 11 percent saw them as very positive, with the Republican Party coming in at 6 percent being viewed as very positive.
But get this the people polled gave the Tea Party 15 percent very positive!
How sad is it that the American people like a non-official political group more than the two official parties we do have?
