    Weekend Protests Over
    Ariz Illegal Alien Law

Do you know what burns my bacon? People willing to ignore the fact that illegal immigrants broke the law when sneaking into America and not protesting about it.

While many this Memorial Day Weekend are either stuck in traffic while going to their vacation spot or firing up the grill, protestors for and against Arizona’s controversial illegal immigration law are going to march and hold signs in Phoenix.

That’s 50,000, or more, people in Arizona heat, nearly 100 degrees. And these people want to protest in that?

Now basically there are two camps: The opponents of the law, which goes into effect July 29 of this year, say it unjustly racial profiles against Hispanics, according to The Associated Press
    AP Arizona Protest
, while supporters say that it does not and the law is simply doing what the federal government should have done and fix the problems created when a few million come into America illegally.

“Arizona has become the testing ground for the most draconian and anti-immigrant legislation in the country,” said Pablo Alvarado, executive director of the National Day Laborer Organizing Network.

But what old Pablo doesn’t seem to understand that the law is not anti-immigrant, it’s anti-illegal immigrant. There is a difference.

It does no good to pretend that the majority of illegal immigrants in Arizona are not Mexican, but the law clearly doesn’t state “If you’re from Mexico, you’re screwed.” The fact is, if Germany was bordering the Grand Canyon State and Germans were illegally crossing the border and bringing crime with them and bratwurst, the law would still be needed.

It would be nice if these supporters of criminals would realize this. Because America is one of the most welcoming countries on Earth and if the Mexicans just followed the laws and came to Arizona legally, we wouldn’t be having these problems. But apparently this simple concept is a little too hard to grasp for some.

But I have a better way of solving the illegal immigrant problem. At the American border, just put a sign that says, “Welcome to Canada.” That way the illegals think they came too far north and they’ll turn around.
