    What Will Happen To Iraq?

While many conservatives hope to see President Obama fail in everything he does, the reality is this is the same vicious, spiteful hate that liberals had for former President George W. Bush. And we can’t have that same vile now with Iraq.

As President Obama announced the end of combat in Iraq at the end of this month, it will spell doom for the honest Iraqi citizens and its fledgling government. Because the terrorists and insurgents aren’t going to decide to give up and give democracy a try.

These are blood-thirsty cutthroats that want to rule Iraq with an iron fist. The only “peace” they care about are pieces of human body parts blown sky high by one of their suicidal one-hit wonders.

Sure, we all want our troops home and give them the hero’s welcome that they deserve. But what’s going to happen to Iraq? Will it become a huge problem for the U.S. that will bite us in the end if the government crumbles under another Saddam Hussein?

While it’s nice that President Obama actually kept a campaign promise — unlike the non-transparent creation of the health care reform — the fact is this is not a good time to keep it, not with the insurgents getting more restless and them increasing their attacks.

Sure, there are a lot of reasons why the president is doing this now, maybe because keeping this campaign promise will help Democrats win in November, but conservatives need to remember that if the president fails in Iraq, we all fail, including the remaining troops and the Iraqi people.

So despite how some may feel about President Obama, we can’t hope that he fails in this, not when the costs are too high.

I don't know too many Iraqis that would be all teary-eyed for life under Saddam. That's why they executed him, remember -- because he was a war criminal who g****ed his own people.

The U.S. made a mistake, IMHO, by starting a war in Iraq. However, now that they're there, I think they're trying to make the best of a bad situation.

Also, I'm sure that most Shiites and Kurds would tell you that life is much better now than under Saddam.

First about the title...What will happen To Iraq?
    I will tell you.
The situation can not be worse than it is nowâ& Acirc;¦!
And, why you think that the troops should have the heroes welcome though they were not defending US borders but destroying other people country

Iraq needs more than 100 years to be like it was in Sadam Hussin periodâï¿&frac1 2;¦Thanks for the American plans and troopsâï¿&frac1 2;¦hooray

Well, ya know, I can't just argue with everyone all the time. If I did, it would be like being married . . .

Just kidding, honey (if you're reading this). Small joke.

The way that I look at the Iraq war is this: I would like to see the U.S. succeed in Iraq -- not because I'm a fan of Obama (or Bush for that matter), but because it will be better for world peace. I think that a stable, democratic government would be a huge boon for the Middle East and would benefit the world in general. So, I agree with this post.

See, I don't disagree with all your posts!

    :P
